ETF is setting up a contact group amongst ETF affiliates and others to look at increasing the awareness of FISO issues and creating a pan European network for FISOs.

As the first organisation representing ATM staff in Europe, the ETF considers possible mobility of ATCOs in Europe as a very important topic for the possible social consequences. With the set-up of FABs and the intention expressed by some European institutions, ATCO mobility can become a reality in the near future.

Regulation (EC) No 805/2011 on a Community Air Traffic Controller Licence
This regulation has replaced the rules established through national transposition of the Directive 2006/23/EC.
The objective of this Regulation is to increase safety standards and to improve the operation of the air traffic control system within the Union through the issuing of an air traffic controller licence based on common licensing requirements.

Directive 2006/23/EC on a Community Air Traffic Controller Licence
