As the first organisation representing ATM staff in Europe, the ETF considers possible mobility of ATCOs in Europe as a very important topic for the possible social consequences. With the set-up of FABs and the intention expressed by some European institutions, ATCO mobility can become a reality in the near future.

Letter to Blue Med on Joint Statement

On 14 July 2010 it was agreed a final version of the Joint Statement that formalize the TU involvement in the project, to be sent for signature just after the holidays. As a reminder, this discussions started in Bruges already in 2008.

After two years, going close to the deadline for FABs implementation, considering the situation of the Civil Aviation sector, ETF strongly believes that the adoption of such a joint statement cannot be postpone anymore.

A big success for the Conference on “Moving towards an integrated airspace for cooperation in FABEC” organized on October 7th 2010, by the European Transport Workers' Federation in Brussels.

The main theme of the conference has been the cooperation.
